Beet salad, carrot salad, ribs that fall off the bone, stuffed cabbage w tomatoey/white pepper sauce, flavorful cooked sauerkraut w rye seeds, tasty prepared chicken breast. Open 7a-7p weekdays & some hrs on Sat.

This is an excellent deli located in the Athenia section of Clifton. My review is going to be mainly about the hot food offerings but the rest of the deli is mainly Polish groceries and some cold food and baked goods as well. The hot food and soups are amazing here. The pork chops, chicken, pastas, chicken livers, vegetables, roasted potatoes, etc. etc. are all amazing. The soups which include pickle soup, white borscht, mushroom soup, and sweet cabbage soup are all great as well. Tried a polish egg roll the other day that was great. The pierogi are very good too. It's not just great Polish food but just great FOOD. Prices are very easy on the wallet for home made food. The chefs deserve credit...they are great. The deli and smoked meats all look great but I have yet to try them out. The service is always quick and polite. It sometimes gets very busy in there but you never have to wait long. A Polish masterpiece.
The store has a great selection starting with the deli counter and packaged items like tea and pastries. I couldn't find the pierogis but the guy came and helped me and I thought this was very considerate. Like 10 bucks (maybe less) for a package of 10 pierogis that were tasty. I'd def come back for the pierogi and maybe some meat too.
We buy the prepared food often. Always satisfied, however, last week we bought golabki and were disappointed because they were filled with rice, no meat. the gravy was a watery tomato. New cook maybe? Rozczarowany.
Excellent Polish Deli with grocery and prepared hot food! The smoked meats, deli selections and authenticity keep me coming back, its one of the great N.J. establishments that make you feel like you're in another country. Any time I am nearby, I make the trip here. Hot food is unbelievably delicious and what a bargain at $3.99/lb!!!! (2019). Pastries, breads, specialty items are all from Poland or made in the store at their own meat smoker: try all the different Kielbasa, and my favorite, the smoked Gouda, it all smells and tastes wonderful. Flavors and smells here will have you eating right out of the bag in your car, so make sure you buy enough to last the ride home.
